New Jersey Traffic Accidents
Usually, when multi-vehicle accidents happen, many people are injured, and property damage occurs. If you are a responsible and mindful driver, then you may possibly not be charged for the accident you were involved in. If an attorney is able to prove that your accident was caused by another person, you may be eligible to gather financial compensation for the losses and damages you face. Pedestrian accidents specifically often end in serious injuries or death for injured victims. Each year, in the US, over 5,000 pedestrians end up losing their lives. Most often, pedestrian crashes happen due to the actions of negligent drivers.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration currently reports an 11% rise in the total number of car accidents, including pedestrian crashes, in the United States since 2015. The population in America continues to grow rapidly, as does the number of careless, reckless, and otherwise negligent drivers. The overcrowded roadways in New Jersey are one of the many reasons why you should work with a well-seasoned car accident attorney in the aftermath of your crash.
Driver negligence has become a common problem across the nation, causing millions of accidents each and every year. Pedestrians are involved in a percentage of these accidents. In fact, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that more than 94% of reported car wrecks happen due to driver negligence, and over 50% of pedestrian crashes happen for this same reason. Drivers who choose to act negligently do so in many ways, including driving while over-tired, intoxicated, distracted, or at unsafe speeds.
