Millburn, NJ (September 7, 2021) – A man has lost his life following a motor vehicle accident early Tuesday morning in Millburn. At around 5:15 a.m., on September 7, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash.
Reports from the New Jersey Transit police show that the Morris and Essex Train, number 6602, left the Dover Station at 4:16 a.m.
As the train traveled just east of the Millburn station, it struck a male pedestrian. The man sustained fatal injuries in the accident. Emergency crews rushed to the scene to secure the area. However, the victim was declared deceased on-site.
At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
