Moorestown, NJ (December 17, 2025) – Ten people were taken to area hospitals on Tuesday afternoon, December 16, following a school bus crash in Burlington County. The collision occurred around 3:00 p.m. at the intersection of Borton Landing Road and Hartford Road in Moorestown.
According to township officials, a passenger vehicle and a school bus collided at the intersection while the bus was transporting students. Six students riding on the bus sustained injuries, along with the bus driver and three occupants of the passenger vehicle. Officials stated that all reported injuries appeared to be minor.
Emergency responders arrived quickly and provided medical evaluations at the scene. Paramedics transported the injured individuals to nearby hospitals as a precaution. Authorities did not release specific details about the injuries, but officials emphasized that no life-threatening conditions were reported.
The remaining students on the school bus did not require medical care. School officials transported them to a nearby school, where family members later picked them up. Moorestown Township Public Schools confirmed the incident and reassured families that students did not suffer serious harm.
Law enforcement officers documented the crash scene and gathered information from both vehicles.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding this collision.
We wish those injured in this crash a swift and full recovery.
School Bus Accidents in New Jersey
Car accidents involving school buses can raise serious concerns for families, especially when children suffer injuries. New Jersey roads see heavy traffic during afternoon school dismissal hours, and busy intersections often become congested. When a passenger vehicle collides with a school bus, even a low-speed impact can lead to injuries for students, drivers, and others involved.
After a crash like this, injured victims and families may face unexpected financial and emotional burdens. Medical care often begins immediately, but costs can continue well beyond the initial hospital visit. In cases involving bus accidents, compensation may be available to help address these losses and support recovery.
Depending on the circumstances, injured individuals may be able to seek compensation for:
- Medical expenses related to emergency care, hospital treatment, follow-up visits, and rehabilitation services
- Future medical costs if injuries require ongoing care or monitoring
- Pain and suffering are tied to physical injuries and emotional distress
- Lost wages or reduced earning capacity for injured adults who miss work
- Emotional trauma experienced by children, including anxiety or fear related to transportation
- Out-of-pocket expenses related to transportation, childcare, or recovery needs
When a school bus is involved, determining responsibility can require a detailed investigation. These cases may involve multiple insurance policies, government entities, or private drivers. Reviewing police reports, vehicle damage, and witness accounts often plays a key role in understanding what happened and who may be held accountable.
Legal guidance can help families navigate this complex process. A school bus accident attorney can explain available options, handle insurance communications, and work to protect the rights of injured victims while families focus on healing.
