Newark, NJ (September 17, 2021) – At least one person was hospitalized as a result of an accident on the West Side of Newark. At around 8:52 p.m., on September 15, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on South Orange Avenue.
Reports from local authorities indicate that a collision between vehicles blocked South Orange Avenue at the intersection of South 7th Street.
Crews responded to the scene and closed off the roadway as they worked to clear the area. At least one person was transported to a local hospital for further medical care. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
