Pedestrian Safety Concerns in Franklin Township, NJOne Struck in Crash on Hamilton St

Pedestrian crashes at busy Franklin Township, NJ intersections can raise questions about driver attention, roadway lighting, and whether crosswalks and signals gave people enough time and visibility to cross safely.

When a pedestrian is struck near a retail area like this one, investigators look at speed, signal timing, and whether the driver had a clear line of sight before the vehicle reached the crosswalk.

People struck by vehicles while walking can suffer serious harm, since they have no protection against the force of impact. Fractures, head trauma, and internal injuries are common, and the severity can depend heavily on the vehicle's speed at the moment of contact.

Family members are sometimes left waiting hours for basic information about a loved one's status, which can add to the stress of an already difficult night.

A pedestrian accident attorney can help a family or an injured pedestrian understand how New Jersey's comparative negligence rules might apply, and can help gather evidence like traffic camera footage, witness statements, and vehicle data before it becomes harder to access. An attorney can also explain what types of compensation may be available for medical care, lost income, or other losses tied to the collision.

If you or a loved one was affected by a pedestrian accident in New Jersey, we are open to help you. At Metro Law, we can guide you through what the process may look like for you based on New Jersey law.
