Paterson, NJ – Eight Injured When Fire Engines Collide En Route to Fire at Broadway and Straight St

Paterson, NJ (September 12, 2022) – Eight firefighters were hospitalized on Saturday, September 12th after two of their trucks crashed into one another as they were responding to a house fire in Paterson. 

Engine 5 and Engine 1 were only half a mile away from the residential fire when their trucks collided at the intersection of Straight Street and Broadway at about 6:00 p.m.

According to reports, one of the fire engines also crashed into a building.  

Several ambulances arrived on the scene and transported a total of eight firemen to area hospitals in various stages of distress. No current conditions are known.
