Paterson, NJ (September 20, 2021) – Authorities have identified 56-year-old Susie Maluya as the victim who lost her life in a pedestrian accident on Wednesday evening in Paterson.
At around 8 p.m., on September 15, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Straight Street.
Reports from the Paterson Police show that Maluya was walking in the area of Straight Street and Park Avenue. For unknown reasons, she was struck by a passing 2013 Honda.
The driver of the Honda, a 24-year-old from Hackensack, remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement.
Maluya was rushed to St Joseph’s Regional Medical Center where she died from her injuries. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
