Wrongful Deaths in Pittsgrove Township

Pittsgrove Township, NJ - Denise Powell and Pearl Caudill Killed in Three-Vehicle Collision on CR-540

Wrongful death is a legal term that refers to the death of a person due to an accident caused by someone else’s careless, negligent, or malicious behavior.

Our New York wrongful death attorneys have assisted the families of hundreds of these kinds of victims. We recognize the devastating reality of these cases. Losing someone you love to the negligent acts of another party is a singularly distressing experience; one for which the law offers a legal remedy.

For a wrongful death claim to be valid, the respondent must have breached their duty of care to the deceased. The measure of negligence in these claims is typically based on the actions that a reasonable person would have taken under similar circumstances.

If a reasonable person would have acted more judiciously or with more care, the respondent could be found negligent. For instance, if a driver above failed to act safely by not following driving laws, then they have breached the duty of care they owed to the deceased.
