Pittstown, NJ – One Killed, Three Hurt in Traffic Crash on Rt 7
Pittstown, NJ (August 22, 2023) – One person lost their life, and three others were hurt in a collision that happened in Pittstown on Tuesday afternoon, August 22. At around 2:20 p.m., emergency crews went to the scene to help those involved.
Reports from authorities show the incident occurred between three vehicles on Route 7. Troopers stated that a motorist from North Adams, Massachusetts, was traveling west when they were involved in a crash with a commercial vehicle.
The vehicle then collided with a Mini Cooper with three occupants inside. All occupants suffered injuries and were taken to the hospital as needed. The driver from Massachusetts lost their life in the crash.
The highway was closed between Reservoir Lake and Log Woods Road for an extended time, causing detours and delays.
Police in Pittstown continue to investigate.
