Port Richmond, NJ – Fatal Pedestrian Collision on Castor Ave near Aramingo Ave

Port Richmond, NJ (August 23, 2023) – A pedestrian was killed in a fatal accident that occurred in Port Richmond. Reports show the wreck took place early on Tuesday morning, August 22. 

Police went to the scene on Castor Avenue near Aramingo Avenue around midnight after receiving reports of two Dodge Chargers racing. One of them struck a pedestrian who was pronounced deceased on-site. 

Currently, the victim has not been identified. Reports show he was knocked out of his shoes and killed on impact. The alleged driver was charged with vehicular homicide, reckless driving, and murder. He fled the scene after the crash happened but was later apprehended by police. 

Authorities in Port Richmond continue to investigate.
