Brooklyn, NY (January 17, 2023) – At approximately 7:15 p.m. on January 17, a car crash happened in Brooklyn that ended in injuries and traffic delays. Police and paramedics were dispatched to the scene a short time after it happened to render aid. 

At this time, it remains unclear what caused the accident that occurred on Interstate 278. Multiple responders were seen on the interstate near the Prospect Expressway. 

What caused the accident is still under police investigation at this time. Traffic was stopped back to the Manhattan Bridge while crews worked at the wreck site. 

Currently, how many people sustained injuries in the accident has not been reported. Drivers in the area were asked to use different routes while responders worked to clear the roadway.
