Queens, NY – One Killed in Pedestrian Accident on Seagirt Blvd near Beach 31st St
Queens, NY (November 28, 2022) – A 64-year-old man was fatally struck by a Jeep driver on a Queens street last Friday. The wreck occurred on Seagirt Boulevard near Beach 31st Street in Far Rockaway shortly before 7:00 p.m. on Friday, November 25.
The unidentified victim was struck by a Jeep for reasons still under police investigation. EMS arrived on the scene and rushed him to St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, where he later lost his life. Police did not disclose his identity as they worked to notify his next of kin.
The man was crossing the tri-lane boulevard in the middle of the block when he was hit by the jeep, according to information from police. The driver of the Jeep, who sustained no injuries, stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities.
Police and paramedics remained at the wreck site for approximately three hours. Authorities are still working to determine the cause of the incident.
