Queens, NY (November 8, 2024) – An injury pedestrian crash occurred on Friday afternoon at the intersection of 43rd Ave and 48th St in Sunnyside, Queens. The incident, reported to authorities at approximately 4:26 p.m., left a pedestrian with serious injuries.
According to preliminary reports from the New York Police Department (NYPD), the pedestrian was attempting to cross the street when they were hit by a car traveling westbound on 43rd Ave. The force of the impact caused the pedestrian to fall to the ground, suffering significant injuries. Emergency responders from the Fire Department of New York (FDNY) quickly arrived at the scene to assess the situation.
Firefighters assisted in removing the pedestrian from the roadway, while paramedics worked to stabilize the individual. Due to the severity of the injuries, the victim was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.
