Rochester, NY (August 26, 2024) – A fatal motorcycle crash occurred on Sunday morning, August 25, in Rochester, claiming the life of a man in his 30s. The tragic incident took place around 11 a.m. on Ridgeway Avenue, between Tuesdale Street and Moose Street, when a collision between a motorcycle and a car led to fatal consequences.

According to the Rochester Police Department, the accident unfolded as a Honda was traveling south on Lagrange Avenue and attempted to make a turn east onto Ridgeway Avenue at a green light. Simultaneously, a 2007 Suzuki motorcycle, heading west on Ridgeway Avenue, ran a red light and collided with the Honda as it made the turn. The motorcycle driver, whose identity has not been released, was critically injured in the crash and was swiftly transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The driver of the Honda, who was involved in the collision, was unharmed. Rochester Police have confirmed that neither alcohol nor drugs were contributing factors in the crash.
