Secaucus, NJ – Pedestrian Seriously Hurt in Crash on New County Rd near Riverside Station Blvd
Secaucus, NJ (January 26, 2023) – A pedestrian was seriously hurt after they were hit by a car in Secaucus on Thursday, January 26. The accident happened just after 6:30 a.m. outside the Xchange Place complex on New County Road.
According to reports, the incident took place near the intersection of New County Road and Riverside Station Boulevard. The car that hit the pedestrian left the scene, however, someone believed to be the driver was detained nearby.
The victim was struck so hard that their shoes were found in the middle of the roadway. The injured party was rushed to Jersey City Medical Center, where they remain in serious condition. Their name has not been reported at this time.
New County Road was closed while authorities investigated the details of the accident.
