Sicklerville, NJ (September 10, 2021) – An automobile accident reported on Wednesday afternoon in Camden County claimed the lives of a man and a woman, according to local reports. Just before 2 p.m., on September 8, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Berlin Cross Keys Road.
Reports provided by the police show that 79-year-old Daniel Hammond was driving a 2015 Hyundai Sonata in the 300 block of Berlin Cross Keys Road. For unknown reasons, the vehicle collided with a dump truck.
Both Hammond and his passenger, 79-year-old Beverly Hammond, were fatally injured. The two victims were pronounced deceased.
The police closed off Berlin Cross Keys Road in the area between Kearsley Road and Turnersville Road for several hours as they worked to clear the roadway and investigate. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
