Westbury, NY – Several Injured in Multi-Car Accident on Jericho Turnpike near Roxbury Rd

Westbury, NY (February 13, 2023) – Several people sustained injuries in a car crash that happened between multiple vehicles on Saturday afternoon, February 11. Reports show the incident took place at approximately 1:30 p.m. 

Police, paramedics, and firefighters responded to the crash scene located on Jericho Turnpike near Roxbury Road. A 2005 Mercedes sedan driven by a 24-year-old man collided with a 2017 Volkswagen sedan driven by a 31-year-old woman. 

The incident caused the Mercedes to overturn. Witnesses removed the driver from the vehicle, who was transported to an area hospital with injuries. The Volkswagen driver was transported to a hospital for evaluation. 

Three passengers present in the Volkswagen, identified as a 5-year-old, an 8-year-old, and a 31-year-old man, were evaluated by paramedics at the scene. The man was taken to the hospital with injuries. 

The children did not sustain any injuries in the crash. Additionally, a 2010 Mercedes Sedan driven by a 19-year-old man crashed into the curb after attempting to avoid the crash. The driver, along with two other passengers, were transported to the hospital for complaints of pain. 

Authorities in Westbury continue to investigate the details of the crash.
