Information provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) shows that over 80,000 motorcycle accidents happen per year in the United States. In 2019, over 84,000 accidents were reported involving motorcyclists, a decrease from the previous year. Unfortunately, motorcyclists are at a much higher risk of sustaining serious injuries or losing their lives when they become involved in accidents than those in passenger vehicles. Driver negligence has become a prevalent issue throughout the country in the past decade. Drivers are more distracted than ever, especially with the ever-rising popularity of smartphones.
