Jersey City, NJ - Seven Firefighters Injured Battling Structure Fire on Bergen Ave

Jersey City, NJ (September 05, 2022) - Seven firefighters sustained injuries on Sunday, September 4th while battling a three-alarm blaze in Jersey City.

The fire, which was brought under control by that afternoon, took place in the 600th block of Bergen Avenue.

Firefighters learned of the fire after a bystander ran to their firehouse to alert them.

The fire left two apartment buildings with considerable damage. 

All seven firemen were transported to an area hospital with what are believed to be non-critical injuries.
