Multiple Injured After Three-Vehicle Crash on I-80 in Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ

Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ (August 6, 2026) – Multiple people were injured Wednesday morning, August 5, following a three-vehicle collision on Interstate 80 eastbound in Parsippany-Troy Hills Township.

New Jersey State Police said troopers were dispatched to the highway near milepost 45.3 at approximately 5:14 a.m. A preliminary investigation determined that a Kenworth dump truck struck the rear of a Ford van traveling eastbound. 

The force of the impact sent the van into the center median, while the dump truck also entered the median before striking a Tesla that had been disabled on the left shoulder from an earlier crash.

Police said the driver of the Kenworth, the driver and passenger of the Tesla, and multiple passengers in the Ford van were taken to area hospitals with mild injuries.

Authorities continue to investigate the full sequence of events that led to the wreck.
