Knowlton Township, NJ (June 4, 2026) – A truck driver died Wednesday morning, June 3, after a Kenworth tractor-trailer struck the rear of a parked International tractor-trailer on Interstate 80 East near milepost 8 in Knowlton Township. The collision was reported at 6:55 a.m.
New Jersey State Police identified the Kenworth’s driver as Karwinder Singh, 25, of South Ozone Park, New York. A passenger in the Kenworth, Mandeep Singh, 24, also of South Ozone Park, was hurt in the wreck. The parked trailer was on the right shoulder of the highway at the time of the crash.
The force of the collision caused the Kenworth to catch fire. Karwinder Singh was pronounced dead at the scene. Mandeep Singh suffered minor injuries, and no other people were hurt.
The accident remains under investigation, and no additional details have been released.
