Oxford, NY – One Killed in Two-Car Wreck on CR-35 near Hwy 220
Oxford, NY (May 24, 2024) – One person reportedly lost their life in a car accident on May 22. Police say the two-car accident occurred on County Road 35 near the intersection with State Highway 220 in Oxford. According to official reports, one of the drivers was traveling south on State Highway 220 when they failed to stop at the intersection, and their vehicle struck the passenger side of another vehicle.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they attempted life-saving measures on one of the drivers who was ejected from their vehicle. Sadly, one person ended up losing their life due to the extent of the injuries they suffered in the accident. Another driver and passenger were transported to UHS Wilson Medical Center for evaluation. Several agencies responded to the scene, including the Chenango County Office of Emergency Services, Oxford Fire Department, New York State Police, and the New York State Department of Transportation.
