South Brunswick, NJ – One Injured When Truck Hits Four Vehicles, Overturns on Rt 1NY/NJ Legal News
South Brunswick, NJ (November 10, 2022) – A truck operator was seriously injured on Wednesday, November 9th when his vehicle overturned and spilled an entire load of plywood across the highway as it plowed into four other vehicles in Middlesex County.
The crash took place at about 10:00 a.m. when the truck operator swerved to avoid a collision with a car that cut him off in the southbound lanes of Route 1 in South Brunswick. As the driver swerved, the planks of plywood he was carrying shifted, causing the truck to overturn and plow into four vehicles that were stopped at a stoplight on Promenade Boulevard. The driver of the first car left the scene.
The truck driver, a 53-year-old man from New York, was transferred by ambulance to a local hospital with a broken neck. As of Thursday, he is still listed in serious condition.
