Burlington Twp, NJ – Four Injured in Car Crash on NJ Tpke

Burlington Twp, NJ (January 5, 2024) – Several people were injured in a multi-vehicle accident reported in Burlington Township. Reports from authorities show the collision happened on the New Jersey Turnpike early on Sunday morning, December 31. One person was airlifted to the hospital as a result of the accident and three others were also seriously injured. Police in New Jersey went to the crash site at around 12:35 a.m. near milepost 45.6. According to information from local sources, an SUV that was headed north on the Turnpike crashed into another vehicle, and a third car crashed into the SUV while the driver was unable to avoid the first two vehicles. The first driver, identified as a Baltimore woman, age 26, was critically injured and flown to a local hospital. The SUV’s driver along with a driver and passenger from the third vehicle all sustained injuries that were serious but non-life-threatening. Authorities in Burlington continue to investigate.
