East Windsor, NJ – Charles Niclas Dies After Being Struck by Tractor-Trailer on NJ Tpk
East Windsor, NJ (April 18, 2022) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a tractor-trailer on the New Jersey Turnpike on Saturday, April 16th in Somerdale.
The victim, who has since been identified as local resident 43-year-old Charles Niclas 3rd, was standing outside of a vehicle on the shoulder of the northbound lane of the turnpike when he was hit by a Peterbilt tractor-trailer hauling a fifth wheel recreational vehicle in the area of mile marker 648.4.
Niclas died at the scene.
The truck operator was unharmed during the accident.
