Fair Lawn, NJ – Senior Man Hurt in Wreck on Plaza Dr & Rte 208
Fair Lawn, NJ (July 15, 2024) – An elderly man was injured after being hit by a vehicle in Fair Lawn on Thursday night, July 11. The man, age 70, was struck shortly before 7:30 p.m. The victim was in his 27-year-old son’s vehicle when it was struck by a white Hyundai Sonata on Plaza Drive near Route 208. The driver of the Hyundai then fled the scene, nearly striking the victim, who had exited the vehicle to take a picture. Then the white sedan backed up, made a U-turn, and ran into the victim as he tried to approach the car.
The injured victim was transported to Hackensack University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Local law enforcement officials are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
