Franklin Lakes, NJ – Bicyclist Killed in Fatal Crash on Briarwoods Rd near Bayberry Ln

Franklin Lakes, NJ (August 7, 2023) – A bicyclist suffered fatal injuries after a traffic accident in Franklin Lakes. Reports from authorities show the incident happened at around 11:25 a.m. on Sunday, August 6.

The incident happened in the area of Briarwoods Road near Bayberry Lane in Franklin Lakes, police said. First responders administered CPR to the victim at the scene after they were hit by a car. The victim was identified as a 48-year-old resident of Wyckoff. 

Reports show the crash occurred when a 35-year-old female driver from Franklin Lakes driving an SUV struck the cyclist. Police are still working to determine the cause of the crash. 

After being transported to the hospital, the bicyclist succumbed to their injuries and passed away.  We want to offer our sincere condolences to the deceased victim’s family.
