Jersey City, NJ (August 25, 2021) – Several people were injured as a result of a fire incident in the Jersey City area. Just before 3 a.m., on August 25, firefighters were notified that a major fire incident occurred on Irving Street that required their assistance.

Reports from firefighters show that a five-alarm fire broke out at the home located at 10 Irving Street during the early morning hours.

Crews stretched multiple lines to battle the heavy flames bursting through the roof of the home. Flames extended to neighboring homes, causing moderate damage in the area.

A total of seven fighters were treated for injuries sustained in the incident. By 4:12 a.m., the fire was declared under control. However, 18 residents were displaced.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
