Kearny, NJ (November 22, 2021) – Good Samaritans raced to help a driver before he died following a car accident on Monday, November 21st on the New Jersey Turnpike.  

Upon their arrival, officers found a sedan wedged underneath a tractor-trailer with the driver slumped over the steering wheel.

Officials said the collision took place in the northbound lanes of the turnpike near mile marker 108.1 in Kearny.

Witnesses reported seeing multiple people gathered around and on top of the car, attempting to extricate the man and perform chest compressions before police arrived.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was unharmed during the accident.
