Newark, NJ (August 24, 2021) – One man has lost his life following a motor vehicle accident in the Newark area on Sunday morning. At around 2:23 a.m., on August 22, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Interstate 78.
Reports from the New Jersey State Police show that two men were pushing a disabled Chevrolet Cavalier on the left side of the interstate when they were struck by a Lexus SUV near mile marker 55.2
Both men were left with severe injuries as a result of the crash. The two victims were rushed to an area hospital. After arriving, authorities confirmed that one of the victims, identified as 34-year-old Kenneth L. McZorn, succumbed to his injuries after arriving. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
