Paterson, NJ – Walter Mercado McWhorter, 66, Killed in Workplace Crash at Covanta Sanitation Company
Paterson, NJ (February 7, 2023) – A man from Paterson lost his life after he was hit by a vehicle at work on Saturday, February 4. Information provided by local officials shows the incident occurred on Fulton Street shortly before 9:00 a.m.
The man, identified as Walter Mercado McWhorter, 66, was hit by a truck at the Covanta Sanitation Company. He succumbed to his injuries at the scene, sources said.
Police in Paterson are investigating the details of the crash.
