South Brunswick Township, NJ (August 23, 2021) – A pedestrian accident reported on Saturday morning left a 28-year-old male from South Carolina severely injured, according to local news sources.
Just after 1 a.m., on August 21, emergency crews were notified that their assistance was needed on-site at a crash on Route 1. Reports from authorities show that a male from out of state was driving a vehicle on Route 1 when he ran out of gas near the intersection of Beekman Road.
The victim was pushing his vehicle near the shoulder of the roadway when he was struck by a white Sprinter Van.
The man sustained severe injuries in the accident. He was rushed to a hospital and admitted in critical condition. At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
