West Hempstead, NY – Clytee Felder-Knight Loses Life After Pedestrian Crash on Hempstead Turnpike near Nassau Blvd

West Hempstead, NY (November 29, 2023) – A woman identified as 83-year-old Clytee Felder-Knight, of Hempstead, sustained life-threatening injuries while crossing a roadway in West Hempstead. The crash happened on Saturday afternoon, November 25. Reports show she was walking eastbound on the Hempstead Turnpike crossing Nassau Boulevard a 2016 Dodge Ram struck her. The Ram was turning left onto Nassau Boulevard at the time, operated by a man, age 36. Felder-Knight was transported to an area hospital shortly after the accident where she later lost her life. 

The roadway was closed for approximately four and a half hours after the accident occurred. We want to offer our sincere condolences to the family of the deceased victim.
