Valley Cottage, NY – One-Year-Old Girl Dies After Crash on Rt 303 near Hillside Ln
Valley Cottage, NY (December 20, 2023) – A baby girl lost her life due to injuries she sustained in a traffic accident in Valley Cottage on Tuesday. Police say the fatal accident happened at around 9:00 a.m. on December 19. Reports show that a Nissan Pathfinder and a box truck collided on Route 303 near Hillside Lane. The driver of the Pathfinder and her two children, a one-year-old girl and a three-year-old boy, were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities reported that the little girl lost her life a short time later. The 31-year-old mother and her son are recovering. The driver of the box truck was extricated by fire crews and transported to an area hospital where he is also recovering.
Route 303 was closed for over six hours while police worked to investigate the details of the incident.
